The aim of the project is to replicate the African
pterosaur discovered by paleontologist Paul Sereno on a National
Geographic expedition in Niger.
Due to the incompleteness of the specimen, the replica's proportions will
be based primarily on Anhanguera
piscator, a related pterosaur from South
America.
Anhanguera piscator is known from several well preserved 3-D
specimens, some nearly complete, which makes it a good reference for
proportions and joint motion.
